SMICO Industrial Connectors are suited for the harshest requirements in industrial environments. They are used in all applications requiring a safe and removable electrical connection. The field of application for SMICO connectors is in protected electrical areas; for example in control cabinets to outdoor applications.


The SMICO Industrial product line incorporates small connectors capable of a few amps up to large multi-way high power connections. The possible combination of connectors is large enabling sensitive signals of a few milli-volts, as used in the field of Gigabit transmissions, up to 600 Amps or 5000 Volts for high power applications.


The SMICO Modular connector range is flexible enough to have a single piece design or multi-modules locked together in a single frame. These modules are standard and can accommodate, signal, and power circuits along with fiber optic or compressed air lines in a single connector.

SMICO RJ45 connector features a future-proof design for 10 Gigabit Ethernet. It offers reliable and quickly connection and uses proven insulation displacement terminal technology. The insulation displacement terminals are designed for rigid and flexible conductors with an extremely broad range of wire cross-sections.


Cables with diameters from 4.5 to 9 mm are securely fixed in place inside the connector by a newly developed cable gland, allowing users to connect all customary Ethernet cable types with this one RJ45 connector type. Its compact design makes the rugged and industry-standard IP 20 model also suitable for multi-port RJ45 jacks. In addition to the IP 20 models, all known IP 65 / IP 67 PushPull types up to  3 A are now available with this new insert.


A unique version, the RJ Multi-feature, with integrated blades that trims wires to the perfect links makes in-field installation easier than ever.

The function of the heavy-duty connector

1. Electrical insulation between connectors to avoid interference between signals.

heavy-duty connector wiring method

1. Loosen the screw with a screwdriver, put the wire into the side hole of the insert, and then tighten the screw.

2. To install the upper shell of the heavy-duty connector, use a screwdriver to unscrew the fixing screws of the insert, put the insert into the upper shell, and then tighten the fixing screws.

3. For the installation of the lower shell of the heavy-duty connector, use the same method to fix the lower shell, and insert the upper shell and the lower shell of the inserted body into each other.
